New York HERE WE COME!!

Hi again, it has been some time since I have posted..Our next trip will be in the last week of August to New York. This will be our first trip there and from what I understand it will be a great trip. We are staying right in Times square at the Hilton Garden Inn for a week. I did use Orbitz to purchase airfare and room, got a great deal!! $1500 for 4 nights and flight non-stop on Delta. As I decide exactly what I am going to do besides shop I will post them, I may not schedule to much because we like "freestyle" travel just do things as they come.(better freedom).

Viva Las Vegas

Hello again travelers!!! Our next trip was to Las Vegas. We went over the Thanksgiving holiday. We don't go to Vegas very often but we needed to get away. Since we live in San Diego county it would be about a 4 hour drive to get there. I talked to co-workers who go often and ultimately chose to stay at the Venetian. We were going to stay for 2 nights so we needed a place that was very comfortable and upscale. I went through the net to find the best deal. Some sites came with different add-ons and some did not. I went to Venetian.com and found the best deal. The hotel is beautiful!!! We were on the 33rd floor, so we had a great view. The rooms are all suites which are over 700sq ft. The Venetian is located across from Cesar's Palace, Mirage, and Treasure Island, so it is in a great location. I would definitely stay there again. This getaway was mainly to rest and relax, but we did see our first Cirque du Soleil show. We went to the the Mirage to see the Love show by the Beatles. At first I was leary about seeing a show especially when 2 tickets cost just about $300. Well that was put to rest the show was the best I have ever seen(except for phantom) and would see it again. Our plan now is to go back and see another Cirque show because just about every major hotel has a Cirque show. Next time we are going fly there, it wont be to much more money and would arrive much sooner with less hassle. You might even see a celebrity!!!
